Generative Income ("we," "our," "us," or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit generative-income.ai and use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

a) Information You Provide Directly

Account information: name, email address, password
Profile information: responses to assessments (Builder Profile Diagnostic, Operations Assessment, Scrap or Scale)
Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers
Content you create: prompts, inputs to AI tools, course progress, generated outputs
Communications: emails, support requests, feedback

b) Information Collected Automatically

Device information: browser type, operating system, device type
Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns
Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs

c) Information from Third Parties

Payment status from Stripe
Authentication data if you sign in through a third-party provider

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
Process transactions and send related information (confirmations, receipts)
Personalize your experience (archetype-aware recommendations, progress tracking)
Send administrative messages (account verification, security alerts, policy updates)
Send marketing communications (only with your consent — you may opt out at any time)
Improve and develop new features, tools, and content

Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues

3. AI Model Training Disclosure

Generative Income uses multiple third-party AI providers to power its tools. We select the best model for each task and may change providers at any time.

Regarding your data and AI:

Your inputs are processed by the AI provider(s) powering the specific tool you are using. All current providers' API data usage policies state that API inputs and outputs are NOT used to train their models.
Generative Income does NOT use your personal inputs to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models.
We may use anonymized, aggregated usage patterns (not your actual content) to improve the quality and relevance of our tools.
You retain full ownership of your inputs and outputs as described in our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share information with:

Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (data storage and authentication), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI processing), Perplexity (research-augmented AI), Resend or similar (transactional email). These providers process data solely on our behalf under contractual obligations.
Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change.

We do NOT share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention

Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
AI-generated outputs: Stored in your account for your access. Deleted when you delete your account.
Payment records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).
Usage analytics: Retained in anonymized, aggregated form indefinitely.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
Row-level security on all user data
Server-side processing of all AI scoring and generation (no client-side exposure of algorithms or prompts)
Regular security reviews

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you of any breach affecting your personal data as required by law.

7. Your Rights — All Users

Regardless of your location, you may:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
Opt out of marketing communications at any time
Download your data in a portable format

8. North Carolina Residents

If you are a resident of North Carolina, you have additional rights under applicable North Carolina privacy law, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data. We do not process personal data for targeted advertising.

9. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request to know, delete, and opt out. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Categories collected: identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, and inferences.

10. European Union Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint. Legal basis: contractual necessity, legitimate interests, and consent.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover such collection, we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated via email.
